Production
The Sorcerers was filmed on location in England and Spain. The opening scenes were shot in New Jersey, with Roy Scheider (later known for his role as Chief Brody in Jaws) appearing in a minor role as Jackie Scanlon. The film was released in the United Kingdom in October 1967 and in the United States in July 1968. It received mixed reviews but has gained a cult following over the years.
