The last-place San Jose Earthquakes scored twice in the first 33 minutes and stunned Real Salt Lake with a 2-1 victory on Saturday night in front of an announced crowd of 10,233 at PayPal Park.

The Earthquakes, who entered the match with a league-worst 4-6-11 record, snapped a four-match losing streak and won for just the second time in their last 10 games.

Jeremy Ebobisse gave the Earthquakes a 1-0 lead in the 22nd minute, converting a pass from Cristian Espinoza. It was Ebobisse's seventh goal of the season.

Jackson Yueill doubled the lead in the 33rd minute, scoring from just outside the box. It was Yueill's third goal of the season.

Real Salt Lake pulled one back in the 54th minute when Sergio Cordova converted a penalty kick. It was Cordova's ninth goal of the season.

The Earthquakes held on for the win, despite being outshot 14-9 by Real Salt Lake.

The win moved the Earthquakes to 5-6-12 on the season, while Real Salt Lake dropped to 9-9-5.

The Earthquakes will host the Vancouver Whitecaps on Saturday, July 16.

Real Salt Lake will host the FC Dallas on Saturday, July 16.
