History of Transmisje Tvp

Transmisje Tvp was founded in 1952 as the Polish Television Broadcasting Center. In 1970, the company was renamed to Telewizja Polska. In 1992, the company was privatized and became known as Tvp. In 2005, the company was merged with the public broadcaster Polskie Radio to form Tvp Spółka Akcyjna.
